Awesome

Philly finally got round to installing it's much vaunted and maligned cameras to catch twats who run red lights. It's no surprise that 2 of the countries 3 most dangerous intersections are in the city - just stand at any junction for 10 minutes. Well, in the first 24 hours of activity, the red-light camera caught 254 drivers!!! How fucking stupid are people?

I've never understood the problem with these cameras. After all, to use a typically repug phrase, if you're doing nothing wrong, it won't affect you. Go Philly. Let's get a few more at some of the intersections downtown on Spring Garden, Market, Chestnut and Walnut. The only problem will be trying to get SEPTA to pay all the fines that it's idiotic bus drivers will rack up. At least it will fund another few cameras!
